High Resolution Imagery Collections – WorldView-2/3 – China, April to June 2015

This map shows the areas imaged by the WorldView-2/3 constellation from April 1 to June 30, 2015 over China. Please note that in many instances, multiple images were collected over the same area which is difficult to portray on this static map.

In this monthly piece, we give our readers a sense of the high-resolution imagery coverage collected over a geography during a specified window. To do this, we pick a high resolution satellite, a defined time period and area of interest, then report key statistics on the total amount of imagery collected in square kilometers (sq km). Without further delay, let’s jump into our analysis.

Graphic Region of Interest: China

Land Mass Covered: 9,385,512.2 sq km

Time Period: April 1 to June 30, 2015

High Resolution Satellite Constellation: WorldView-2/3

WorldView-2/3 Constellation Imaging Statistics – China

Total Area Collected: 3,076,168.6 sq km; 16,902.0 sq km per satellite/per day

Area Collected @ 20% or Less Clouds & 30 Degrees or Less Off-Nadir: 1,181,777.6 sq km; 6,493.3 sq km per satellite/per day; 38.42% of total
