Your Imagery Work Break – For Forest Installation in Austria

We love maps.

We love imagery.

We love work breaks.

We hope you like them as well!

It’s January here in the United States, meaning we are in the midst of our coldest month! But that should not stop you from taking a quick work break as you need to stretch your legs and get some fresh air. Before you head out, take a few moments to gander this 40-centimeter WorldView-2 image collected over Wörthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt, Austria on October 17, 2019. And yes, you are seeing a forest inside of the stadium! It’s part of a temporary installation put on by For Forest from September 8th to October 27th where they ‘planted’ some 300 trees in Wörthersee Stadium which were intended to give visitors a new perspective and appreciation for forests. Oh, and sorry about the image quality, Austria is cloudy in the fall so this was the best one we could find of the stadium while the For Forest art installation was there.

Have a great rest of your workday! ☺
