Your Imagery Work Break – 2019 Oktoberfest

We love maps.

We love imagery.

We love work breaks.

We hope you like them as well!

December has arrived and so it’s time for the Holiday Season! In celebration, doesn’t a nice walk around the block sound nice? It certainly does, but before you head out take a few moments to gander this 50-centimeter GeoEye-1 image collected over Munich, Germany on September 21, 2019 at 11:39AM local time. And what might be happening at this time on a fall Saturday in Munich?! It’s Oktoberfest of course! The annual festival which celebrates the arrival of Fall saw 6.3 million visitors in 2019 who consumed some 7.3 million liters of beer. This is the fourth time we have featured Oktoberfest in the
Geospatial Times, joining our 2011, 2016 and 2018 coverage.Β

Have a great rest of your workday! ☺
