Free For All – The Sky is Falling

Despite the fact that I am from the Midwest, I have never seen a tornado. I’ve had my fair share of drills and warnings but no terrifying close encounters. I’m quite content to keep it that way and live vicariously through other peoples’ experiences. Which brings us to this month’s Free For All, a churning, building, terrifying video of a supercell. Supercells are storms with a rising and rotating updraft, as you can imagine a spiraling storm. While the most rare of thunderstorms, they can easily turn into a massive tornado. If you don’t believe me, and even if you do, check out this amazing footage taken by a group called the Basehunters.
