As many of you know, Apollo Mapping accepts credit cards as one form of payment and well admittedly we are always looking to save a bit on the processing fees. In May, we moved to a new credit card processing company, PaySimple, as they had promised huge savings over Stripe.
Well, we are here to tell you that was 100% a HUGE LIE! Even after PaySimple reviewed our Stripe monthly statements to assure us we would save on processing fees, when we received our first monthly bill there were over $450 in hidden fees! We did review the very long agreement we signed with PaySimple for these hidden fees but we either missed them or they were hidden in plain sight.
Either way, we are here to tell you that:
- PaySimple is a company full of scammers and liars. Do not believe anything they tell you about their fees.
- Expect hidden fees equal to or greater than the percentage fees you will pay for credit card processing.
- If you do have a customer service issue with PaySimple, you will need to solve it yourself as they are simply a middle-company, they do not really process any cards on their own.
So the long and the short of the story is, avoid avoid avoid PaySimple at all costs. They are liars, scammers and are only looking to make huge profits on unsuspecting companies.
