TerraSAR-X Imagery Now Available in Image Hunter!

We are excited to announce that high-resolution satellite radar imagery from Airbus’ TerraSAR-X constellation is now searchable in Image Hunter!

TerraSAR-X is an advanced X-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system operated by the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Flying in a close orbit with distances down to only a few hundred meters, the three identical TerraSAR-X satellites, TerraSAR-X, TanDEM-X and PAZ, collect SAR imagery in six different imaging modes.

These varying scan modes allow users to select the best product for their specific application needs. Options range from very high-resolution SpotLight mode with 25-centimeter (cm) resolution over a small area, to Wide ScanSAR mode covering a 200-kilomeer (km) swath with 30-meter (m) resolution.

The addition of TerraSAR-X expands Image Hunter’s data options, providing access to this valuable X-band radar imagery. SAR data offers all-weather imaging capabilities ideal for many remote sensing applications.

You can now easily search and preview TerraSAR-X imagery directly through Image Hunter. Contact us today at sales@apollomapping.com to learn more about pricing and tasking options!
