RapidEye 3A Ortho Product Name Change

For our Apollo Mapping clients who ordered 3A ortho RapidEye imagery produced both before and after August 1st, you may have noticed a simplified naming convention for the datasets. This was done to make product naming easier for clients purchasing large multi-temporal datasets.

The new naming convention is as follows for RapidEye 3A products:

< Tile ID >_< Collection Date >_< Satellite ID >_3A_< Order ID >

As an example, here is a hypothetical new name:

1422345_2012-04-18_RE1_3A_442211

The new conventions are carried through to all of the metadata, license and product files that are part of the standard 3A product delivery. These changes will have no impact on major remote sensing and GIS software packages.

Let us know if you have any questions about these changes by email at sales@apollomapping.com.
