On July 17, 2014, another crash of a Malaysian Airlines flight captured the attention of the world. This time the cause of the disaster is relatively well known, i.e. it was apparently brought down by a group of Russian-backed rebels, and so is the location of the crash site, i.e. Donestsk Oblast in south-east Ukraine. Four days after the tragedy on July 21st, the crash site of MH17 caught the attention of the 70-centimeter (cm) satellite, KOMPSAT-3.
