Key January Improvement(s)

And yep, it happened again, two straight months of adding in new Jilin-1 satellites! This time we added in seven new DP series 75-cm satellites (a new series for us) with specifications matching the Jilin-1 GF series. We will have more details on the Jilin-1 DP series in future editions of The Geospatial Times. Adding in these satellites also welcomed more than 135,000 new Jilin-1 images to the Image Hunter archive! Our other favorite change for the month is the ability to edit the brightness, contrast and black fill removal aggression for individual previews. You can find this by loading a preview, clicking on the ‘I’ (Info) button at the end of the image date row and then click on Edit Preview. Once you change the desired parameters, press Apply and the preview will reload!

Here is a summary of the changes/improvements we made to Image Hunter during the past month:

• Added seven new 75-cm Jilin-1 satellites from the new DP series.
• Users can now adjust black fill removal aggression, brightness and contrast settings for individual previews. Check the Info modal for the new Edit Preview button.
• Improved the stability of a variety of updates including Jilin-1, Geosat-1/2 and Maxar satellites.
• Fixed column alignment to account for the new band number symbol in PlanetScope images.
