Key Improvement(s) From The Past Month

After months of anticipation, we are happy to welcome the 30-centimeter (cm) 8-band WorldView Legion constellation to Image Hunter! Currently Legion 01 and 02 are live – and we expect Legion 03 and 04 to come online in the coming months too as they are performing well in their on-orbit tests. In fact, Image Hunter was by far the first reseller platform displaying 30-cm WorldView Legion coverage, and it was live within about 2 hours of its addition to the API. On top of this impressive feat, we have been busy this month with smaller fixes (of course) as well as squashing a very targeted bot attack from overseas that lasted for a week – but in the end the battle was won by our side and Image Hunter is all the better for it.

Here is a summary of the changes/improvements we made to Image Hunter during the past month:

• 30-cm 8-band WorldView Legion 01 and 02 is available for queries and is updated hourly 😊
• Fixed the Color Only filter, it was missing a few datasets.
• Added back in the start and end collect dates for Hexagon aerial imagery in the Info modal.
• The right side of the screen cut off a bit when the sidebar menu was displayed, it doesn’t do that anymore.
• Panchromatic Formosat-2/5 is now marked with the Pan Only symbol in the date row.
• Improved the stability of error handling, rate limiting, timeouts and file size limits.
• Restored former load times of Airbus and Maxar previews.
• Searches for PlanetScope and SkySat image tiles are far more stable and intuitive now.
• We brought SpaceWill previews back (again) but they were not rotated, so we fixed that error too.
• Persistent links with TerraSar-X did not work – now they do!
