Kids are naturally curious, and love soaking up information about their natural surroundings – especially if that information comes in the form of a fun game, lesson or activity. Whether you’re an educator, parent, nanny or kid-at-heart, you’ll be sure to find some fascinating material at plantheroes.org.

Their free, online library contains an impressive selection of conservation comics, field guides, lesson plans and activity books appropriate for grades K thru 5. Lesson topics include forest health, ecology and plant conservation, and they are designed to meet Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The resources are meant for use in typical classrooms, virtual settings or outdoor learning environments. Most lessons are available in three different languages: English, Spanish and Chinese.
