Free for All – Science Friday

When it comes to soaking up information, we have many options, some might say too many options. I’m a fan of podcasts when I want to learn more about a specific topic. There’s a podcast out there for everyone, from news to cold case stories to lifestyle and fiction. If you listen to NPR on Fridays, then you’ve already heard this week’s Free for All, “Science Friday” hosted by Ira Flatow.

Science Friday delves into macro topics for one minute, like space and the universe, then drills down to the microscopic level. Flatow interviews experts and asks probing questions, creating mesmerizing and yet surprisingly short segments. Most of the episodes are under twenty minutes but pack a hefty punch of information. The short segments are often pertinent to current events, like the most recent podcast digging into the mental health costs of everyday racism and the global chip crisis. If you’re in the mood for a quick burst of information, then this podcast is for you!
