Fans of things that fly and float will love learning more about the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition. The event is held every two years – on odd-numbered years – in Langkawi, Malaysia. This year will be the year for another exhibition to take place, with the 17th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition running from May 20th to 24th. To give you an idea of what the exhibition looks like, we peer down from above in our featured image, which was captured by 30-centimeter Pléiades Neo 3 on May 27, 2023.
Known as LIMA, the exhibition happens to be one of the largest of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region. The aerospace exhibitions are set up inside the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre next to the Langkawi International Airport, while the maritime exhibitions are held at Resorts World Langkawi.
The only exhibition of its kind in the world, the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, or LIMA for short, is a platform for defense, commercial, and industrial uses. So far, the event has seen an estimated 230,000 public and trade visitors with more than 500 exhibitors on hand.
Be sure and check out our 30-cm color image and see if it inspires you to book a flight to Malaysia for next month’s big event.
Have a great rest of your workday! 😊
