Apollo Mapping is excited to announce the first two satellites in Maxar’s 30-centimeter (cm) resolution WorldView Legion constellation are now available for tasking and archive sales! WorldView Legion bolsters Maxar’s capacity to collect 30-cm high-resolution imagery and meet the needs of our clients to monitor their areas of interest.
WorldView Legion will include six state-of-the-art satellites when fully operational, enabling up to 15 revisits per day. The first two WorldView Legion satellites are operational and ready for your tasking orders. The next two satellites are already in orbit, undergoing commissioning after a successful launch. These two satellites will enter a mid-inclination orbit, empowering more frequent collections over areas in the mid-latitudes with the highest demand; further enhancing Maxar’s imaging capabilities and separating them from other imagery providers.
WorldView Legion will expand Maxar’s daily imaging capacity, enabling them to capture over 1.5 million square kilometers of 30-cm imagery every day once all six satellites are operational. This impressive capability allows customers to have access to up-to-date, high-resolution images through an ever-expanding archive or as a new collection.
Maxar’s WorldView Legion constellation makes high-quality, 30-cm resolution imagery accessible to customers around the world. With its enhanced capabilities and flexible tasking options, Maxar’s WorldView Legion will transform the satellite imagery landscape, providing unparalleled insights into our ever-changing world.
