Free for All – 42 Maps

My freebie for this month is just fun to watch, especially if you are a lover of maps. I think it’s the combination of dozens of maps along with high-speed talking that entertains me, as I am a fan of both. The video is entitled ’42 Maps,’ and as the name suggests, the author shares with us 42 interesting and entertaining maps. I always enjoy seeing how other people view maps, since I am entirely biased. I mostly view maps as images or GIS data. I can easily lose perspective on the original purpose of maps and how they have changed through time as well as depict and distort data. This lovely video blog, or vlog for short, was created by one of the vlogbrothers, Hank Green. Their videos are often funny, sometimes serious and always include fast talking, often moving warp into ludicrous speed. So sit back and enjoy 42 Maps!
